I don't know Senai, but my plants apparently think the small ones are delicious.

So i completly forgot about this! My dad and brother had there cars as toys so i had this

It was a go kart frame with a briggs and straton engine
29" inch boggers
electric start
working red head lights and tails lights
Green underglow lights inside and underneath with a couple random LEDs here and there
I took it to car shows and won a bunch of awards
Buutttt i sold it 2 or 3 months ago

and this is something i was telling Senai about, i've made a few potato guns and got bored one day and this is what i came up with

It was fun for when i was bored in class haha
i used a motrin bottle and a pen tube
where my thumb is i hot glued the ignitor from a stick lighter to a bolt
i always have a can of axe in my backpack so it was like a high powered spit ball gun lol

My offseason project involves 175 lbs of lifepo4, two wheels, and one 30kw bldc hubmotor. 'nuff said. I'll get a site together when it's done, about 2-3 months.

Tonight I had the final competition for my Creative Decisions & Design class. It was a task-oriented robotics competition, where they supply the electronics and you purchase the other building materials (with a total cost no greater than $100). My group has been working on this for about a month or two now, and we managed to snag 4th place (would've been higher if not for a fluke in the final round) out of a total of 60 teams (200-250 students total). Photos of the robot "Mantis" will be here soon.

Way to go Jeff!! Congratulations on performing so well out of such a large and talented pool of competitors. cheers
I look forward to hearing more about the task, and how your solution worked--as well as the fluke that kept you out of the top 3. Sad

Well, I don't have pictures of the actual robot, but I do have some awesome renders one of my teammates whipped up:

The highlight video from this year's ME 2110 competition is now online:
http://singhose.marc.gatech.edu/courses/me2110/Movies/fall%202009.mov
Mantis is featured several times - in fact, it's the first robot you actually see moving in the video.

EDIT: Also, I'm done with finals and will be in Miami in about 14 hours. (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!)

In the process of doing some work on devising an electric scooter, I may have just figured out how to make liquid-cooled outrunners. It'll be some time before I'm able to have a definite answer on whether it's feasible or effective, but I think the principle is sound. It should be identical to the method all RC boats use, but I'm not completely certain.

Why is liquid cooling good, you ask? You can cram more current through the motor than normal, for one. You can also have a completely sealed outrunner, which adds weather and debris resistance (most standard outrunners are air cooled).
