Rotunda Rumble Update:
The competition started at 12:30 in MN which is an hour behind most of us, but from what i was told Aftershock and Still'N Shock won both of the matches easily while Redemption lost to Billet(a very solid brick) because of electronic problems with redemption.(Rugburn is also competeing and won its first match)

Both Plum bots are now 2-0 each, but I didnt hear anything about Josh's bot.
Still'N Shock fought Grim Reaper now for its third time but i wasnt given details on the match other then they taped out. Aftershock fought a bot i believe they said was named Fluffy, from buffalo high school, old home of humdinger2. Alex told me it was a small diameter beater with decent weight run with an Axi 4000 series and had 1/8" ti armor/angled sides. Aftershock was flipped but completly tore fluffy apart while the drum was spinning upside down!

yeah it was.
Grim Reaper is a really well built bot that can take a beating, Alex really wanted them to make it to the finals so PA could go 1,2

There actually wasnt a final.
Uppercut was a team of 6th graders and apparently there advisor did all the work on it from what im told, he couldnt get it running right so they just forfeited.

I just got back on and havent looked for videos yet, but you could always look yourself

just an idea

Alex fought rugburn with SNS just for fun and i guess it got pretty torn up haha

the nrl fluffy was an impressive bot

-axi 4000 weapon
-~4# weapon
-fast
-1/8" titanium
-angled sides

It would of been a good fight

and low

They really really need to do something about the floor

Another event of shitty luck for EWCTC. Our ESC caught on fire in the hotel room, and connectors came loose to cause us most of the matches. Someone soldered the Deans too long and melted the plastic.

In our match vs Billet i made the dumbass mistake of not switching our weapon motor wires before the match. I told myself to do it, but it just slipped my mind... Then on our eliminating match against Grim, our ESC just stopped working. It worked in the test box, just minutes before. Then in the arena it failed.

We did have a dance off with Humdinger but our ShamWOW! magnet was too strong to allow us to do gyros...

We did win weapon to weapon against Humdinger. then the bot died... BAAHH.

It was my last competition, as i am graduating this year. But at least we hit the ceiling first in SWPA.

We may be going to the SkillsUSA thing in Kansas but we need money to get all 5 of our schools bots up and running.

As for me, i may be starting up my own team to compete with. 12 or 15lbs. Design are being made, with "Radiant"(Vertical Disc) "Harper"(drum) and "Icarus" (eggbeater) are shaping up nicely. Icarus has a close to full Solidworks model done, while Radiant and Harper are just ideas, and Solidworks drafts.

Cody or anyone else in SWPA, if you are interested in joining with me, let me know. We could build a real killer. This summer i will be organizing stuff for a possible team. My brother in law is on the team so far, He knows milling companies and such so its definately a viable plan.

Cool Alex!

But its still just a idea for now. I have college stuff to do, and work over the summer. So i am just doing designs right now, and trying to figure out a budget. This will come out of our pockets until we can win some tourneys. If you have any complete designs or anything, organize them and we will brainstorm in a thread or over PM.

Ill post Icarus later today after i can put on the outer armor. Think of it as a Billet with a Eggbeater.
