I am actually considering purchasing a student license of AutoCAD 2010. I have been using the trial version and like it. And since Solidworks is useless to me, I may as well. if only you'd placed at Nationals! HEE HEE! we got Autodesk Pro for free! 4 copies!

don't be you large dog fondler Mr. Dreher, that was UNCALLED for. It was perfect. I just found a random insult generator and that was the 15th thing it came up with.

back to the robot.. Yeah. I am working on it... trying to decide if I should use two 4s Li-Poly batteries(one for each brushless) or just get one single li-poly with a higher discharge rate and run them in parallel...

| Gah... It is too cramped with the 2.25", 30 degree sides... When I consider everything(wheels for the friction drive on the shell, center shaft + assembly to keep it centered, battery, drive motors, etc) it just doesn't fit right. Wiring it would be a nighmare. So, I am switching to the 2.5", 45 degree shell design, but I will maintain the same outer diameter. edit - I am getting fairly proficient with AutoCAD 2010, at least in the basics... Here is the modified shell. Things fit much nicer with that shell.. | |

| Update - Nothing new to update.....
Funding is a nightmare. We are going to be doing all sorts of fundraisers over the next 2 months, I am going to do some research regarding the possibility of getting a grant, but things are looking tough.
I am also coming up with cheaper alternative designs. Pine View Fair was mediocre just like last year... I am getting depressed just thinking about the lack of money.
I am done making everyone else depressed... On the positive side, we WILL have something by the end of the year(somehow, some way, I will figure something out). It is just a question of what...
