Ya Ben. I'm from Derry aswell, just EWCTC was my bots team.

They lost alot of their good guys this year..

I have no clue. Don't even know the brackets. And why does Plum have 3?


If EWCTC gets their weapon the way its concepted, then they will be a force to be reckoned with...

I don't know what Derry is making, and I will see how West Mifflin is doing after thanksgiving hopefully.

Looks like some good picks but you never know what willl come out of the designs and driving ability of a first year school or even a school that was not so good last year.... Experience means a lot for both students and instructors. Look how far we made it in our first year... Top 5 and did not even have the bot running and to weight the day before the competition. If we had BB motors, we might have even made it one or two more rounds.

It is nice that they gave everyone the opportunity to enter additional bots to fill the brackets this year... Last year we were pleading with them to let us have an additional spot for Rocco but they would not allow it.

I think that with that PDF from RioBotz it opens up some good info to a first year school.... I WISH I HAD THAT 2 YEARS AGO!

My predictions for good builds is this.....

Group A--Center Area, Derry Area, Highlands, Plum, West Mifflin

Group B--Fayette AVTS, Highlands, Plum, Springdale, Somerset,

Group C--Beaver County, EWCTC, Penn Hills, Serra Catholic, Steel Center, Somerset, Plum, West Mifflin---- By far the strongest bracket--

Group D-- Beaver County, Hempfield, West Mifflin, Shaler, Lenape

Group C is by far the strongest group.... but it depends on where the stronger bots go from the additional teams. I think that Penn Hills will be a great first year team this year..... 4 of their students came to my training and they all seemed to have good questions and were very enthusiastic about getting into this competition.

As for our bots, it depends on what we come back with after Motorama..... We might get the crap beat out of us out there and have some flops to enter at the regionals. Our strongest will go into Groups D and A... Just to try and get at least 2 at the finals.

I wish we had more time between Motorama and the regionals.... 5 days is complete mania to try and fix and change things.. Looks like some stay till midnight working going on that week.

i just talked to carmen today.
There will be a decesion by the end of today wether they are going to postpone the prelim competition due to schools being out
