I don't know if all of you know this, but for college students (and faculty) with a .edu email address, you can get a ridiculous amount of free autodesk software. FULL VERSIONS. FREE!

P.S. Firefox estimates a little over an hour for a 1.3 gig download. That's not bad at all.

That's what we used at Tech this year to get our software for the Engineering Graphics class. This is what I did with it for my team project:

A full assembly of a multifunction mechanical pen. Each team member had to put their name on the parts they made (I did all the parts that actually make the pencil part work, so naturally they're covered by just about everything).

Hey Dan, is there a way I can get it? It says that they offer free downloads for students in Secondary Education, but I can't figure out how to get it if i don't have a .edu email address. Any ideas?

umm... i don't really know. I talked to the woman representing autodesk in san francisco and she told me that they let students download all their software for free if they have a college email address...

I tried using my ransomeverglades.org email address, and it worked! So any ransom kids that want to try downloading and using this, you can use that email address.
