Met some nice people at GCRS on Saturday

It was nice to meet up with some fellow bot builders at RMP yesterday.

Jamo had some very nice bots.

Dan and his father had nice bots as well.

It seems that Dan finally figured out his problem with Conundrum, in that he was beating on everyone including his Dad in the rumble.

richard - I didn't get it working; the issue kept happening (granted, somewhat less frequently). The rumble was just noncompetitive enough so that I could lose radio signal and not be mercilessly destroyed.

then the second rumble cost me my right drive motor... gotta get a new one of those before I take it up to college with me

I was passing by and saw you beat up on a few bots and then visciously attack your dad's bot....lol and I thought that you had it solved.

That might actually happen

I will be talking with our sponsors about the possibility of either taking or sending Sting up to one of the comps in the Northeast....possibly hord or nerc.

Maybe you could drive it at a comp up there, if there is no budget???? $10 UPS and tada

Not looking for gentle...looking for full speed ahead, pedal to the metal, take no survivors type driving....can you handle it? hahaha

The 2 bots are as close to indestructible as we can get them to be, so I'm not worried about them getting damaged.

SOT took some full speed hits from Jamo's spinner and it doesn't even have a scratch on it...mind you there are more powerful weapons out there, but I'm confident that both Sting and SOT would keep on ticking after taking a lickin.

Our drivetrains are extremely strong and around 3 to 4 times the speed and torque of a stock bb 24mm box...and the little colsons, once trued seem to have decent traction....we have a special spray that makes them really sticky, but we didn't use it at the comp.

Where's the closest comp to you in the next little while? (I hope not this weekend...lol

For the record, Pacman never actually hit full speed... and he never will, lol. It will always break a belt somewhere. I dont think it would have mattered regardless, because those are two incredibly tough beetles! It was a fun two-day build, but I think I should spend some time on it considering how the beetle bar was just raised again.

And if you do go to a northeastern event, I would recommend Motorama definitely. A huge field of bots, some good audience, and a heck of a great time! Beetles run in the 16' box though, so be prepared to pack the speed.

I just realized that I won the ants only fighting against two different opponents. hmm

I did notice that you were having problems getting your spinner up to speed (Pacman), not only against sot but wallop as well...from your videos

Thanks again for the video of our 2 bots dancing around like the hippos in fantasia (well not as graceful...lol).

I don't know if the bar was raised, in that there seem to be some pretty serious 3 pounders up north....like the fierce bots, cloud of s , etc....we'll definitely have to learn to drive ours better and even then....it'll be a tough hill to climb.
