Looks interesting. From what it seems Microsoft is doing, it looks like they want to eventually have a seamless media platform across their Xbox products, Zune products, and Windows Mobile products; for example, download a movie in one online store and you can use it on ANY product Microsoft supports.
I'll post something interesting as well: PSP-Go is now pretty much confirmed (to be announced next week at E3), and a thinner PS3 is likely to be available this August or September [along with a possible price drop]. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/05/mole-confirms-psp-go-details-with-a-smaller-ps3-on-the-way.ars

Alienware is officially insane. http://gizmodo.com/5272560/alienwares-allpowerful-m17x-obliterates-crysis-with-dual-1gb-nvidia-geforce-gtx-280m-graphics-cards
Technical specs for this upcoming LAPTOP:
17" 1920x1200 Screen nVidia GeForce GTX 280M (x 2) Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad Core 8GB DDR3-1333 1TB 7200RPM HDD or 512MB SSD Blu-Ray Drive Integrated GeForce 9400M for extra battery life 4 USB Ports HDMI Port 12 lbs
The battery life for this thing may only be about 45 seconds with all that hardware.............................................................................................
I don't know what else to say except Alienware is nuts.

P.S. I love that car. P.S.S. Do engineers really use mac? I mean for multimedia and graphics I can understand people using Apple. But I don't think Solidworks or AutoCad are even available on mac (or linux) without virtualization.

Oh hells yes. On top of that, it's a fraction of the cost of supercars with similar performance.
And as far as the Macs thing goes, yeah there are a few people I know who are engineers with Macs (not many), and they start kicking themselves when they need to do CAD for projects and have to hike across campus to use computer labs that can actually run CAD software .

First off, one does not "attempt" to get "chicks" when driving this car. They flock by the hundreds just like in the axe commercial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_zwft9VMP0
Second, if I had that car, I would drive it everywhere. Going to the cleaners, going grocery shopping, picking up kids from day care (other people kids, I have none), everywhere. If you have that monster you better show it off.
Third, if you can afford that car, you don't care about mpg. Besides, 15 mpg is still better than the hummer but it's way more fun. You might actually have a chance of getting away from the cops.

good luck at actually getting 15 mpg in that car, it has a 7 speed automatic but you'd have to keep it out of boost. My dads truck gets 12 mpg at the best , my brothers 07 mustang gt/cs gets about 16 and new diesel trucks only get about 14 mpg anymore Your mileage isnt anywhere close to the rated numbers usually

I think that you might change your mind if you saw this one....3.3 liter whipple at 16 psi....I sold it to a friend along with a forged blueprinted stroker motor with over 20 psi boost capability...probably 800 to 1000 rwhp when it's done.

I have another girlie car....a 2000 Miata....just over 400 rwhp on oem block , supercharger and a shot

yes...3.3 liter...it's like strapping a bmw engine on top of a 5.7l v8...lol only better
It's the same 3.3 liter sold as an aftermarket blower for the hot fords....iirc
The one nice thing about my 01 coupe and 03 Z06 is that they handle like the best of the best and at a cost of 100k less or better

Gotta confess I don't know much about this stuff, but if you were looking at a Miata, why not go with a Honda S2000 instead, about the same size but actually engineered for handling and speed?
(My guess is 1-price and 2-you get to make the Miata a go machine, instead of just buying one)

i dont feel like looking up numbers but i think s2000 are around 240hp and maybe a 40k msrp. He supercharged his miata for around 400hp and it probably has a nice whirrrrr sound to it lol

I like one of a kind projects...at the time, Big Gulp was the FIRST and only cold side mounted supercharger in the world, plus it made more power than any other eaton based sc miata as well. I believe that the record still stands today
I don't follow it anymore, but nothing touched Miatas on winding type tracks...not sure whether the S2000 has changed that since it was released.
You really have to drive a hopped up Miata thru Deals Gap in North Carolina...it's a ride that you'd never forget.
My 03 Z06 was also a first.....only top mounted whipple on a C5 in the world at the time.
