| Saturday, February 13th, will be the fourth installment of Mayhem in Miami! It will take place at Startbot. Starting around 10, ending at 6. Entrance fee will be $25 a robot. Food and beverages will be sold inside. | |

It looks like the so called BotsIQ National event is just the same thing as this event. Except they are expecting teams to shell out $275 more dollars as an entrance fee... Seriously out of touch with the real world.
How many robots do they really think are going to be attending this event? Public schools don't operate like the private schools. We have to have all travel arrangements approved by the school board. That procedure can take 2 months. Guess what... we were only given 6 weeks notice. This was just poor planning... And now they are advertising another BattleBots event in California May 21st... So why not have both events at the same time? That is at least more advanced notice to get the proper approvals needed.
My guess is you are looking to finish this "Bots High" video and you can basically secure a winning team if 6 or the 7 robots registered is from Miami. If you break this group into the red and blue divisions you are almost guaranteed a first, second or third position... lol | |
