Hey everyone

After almost 2 years of R & D related to combat robots, we will be offering a few items and services.

We are not opening a hobby store or robots parts outlet.

Like most of you, we have been through numerous products and vendors, with varying results and will only offer products that we feel are best suited for high end combat robots and that have been thoroughly tested in either our bots or MLEC's educational bots.

Here's the short list:

Robot Power Scorpion Xl's, XXL's and more... we are now a distributor.

Titanium 6Al-4v, tool steel and various grades of aluminum... we order a fair amount and can possibly combine your needs with ours and save us all a bit of $$$.

Various high end brushed motors.....we are a distributor for a few select manufacturers.


Possibly some machining services including 4th axis milling.

Yes..this is as much advertising as I'll do..lol

I won't do cheap run of the mlil stuff or production...just interesting prototypes for forum members.

Same with selling anything....I can probably match or beat by a little most prices on the few things that I can sell...just for forum people if anyone is interested.

If not, then no biggie.

If the hammerheads do well at Moto, there may be a slight demand for them...lol

I know that you guys were using the BB 12-45's and your drums were omni directional. The scorpions are much better suited for 1 flip switch operation, if your weapon can spin in both directions or if using high powered motors like we sometimes do.

Both the Scorpions and BB's have problems with higher voltage lipos....the bec gets derated so much that the receiver signal can fall out...

Hopefully your weapon esc can handle it in most cases.

I think i can saferly say were going to stay with A123s
We changed weapon esc to the castle HV-85 since they work with the new spektrums now lol

don't you also have some events that don't allow Lipos???

the new HV series looks promising.....but at the moment, we prefer the reversables...

yeah our locals dont and i believe the the NRL nationals arent going to allow them

Your weapons are better suited for a reversible controller, were better off trying to flip back over

they can. as with any its not the easiest thing but they can lol Havent had to with SNS though

with the long reach of a beater blade, it seems like it would be much easier...Hummdinger did a good job...just don't spin it too fast and launch to the roof....lol

I think the hammerhead drums would be very easy to flip back over as well...I'll find out pretty soon

So.. how much $$ do the scorpions run for?

We will also be offering some battle tested parts/kits related to Banebots gearboxes for bots from 3 to 220 pounds in the near future.

Miami people and others...can save on shipping costs in many cases, in that we will be stocking up on some of the more popular items.

While I am advisor to MLEC, I have made/sold items to other teams, plus I am doing some R & D for them.

Also, I am working with an OEM and writing an educational curriculum on designing, machining of combat robot parts....I will be including some hardware/materials, and prototype machining services with it, if people want it

Banebots is runing out of 36mm gearboxes..only 64:1's left and 2 stage rings. When they're gone, they will not be carrying them anymore!

It'll be either their new P60 or China or ????

Not sure that anyone else is selling them?
