HELP! CAN'T EXPORT DXF!!

How do you export DXF files from Solidworks? The Waterjet people just told me that they need DXF and I can't figure it out!! AHHH!

you need to make a drawing from your part - a combination of 2D views that encompass all features of your part, then you can save the drawing as a DXF.

didn't Schimmel say something about turning it into a 2D drawing in SolidWorks?

ya, problem is that when i go to save it, DXF isn't one of the options I have for file type. grrr.. maybe it's because I have the free version.. I'll try @ school tomorrow..

I figured it out.. the free student version doesn't allow it!
