wedge is just floating on the shaft. RJW thought his drums were loud you should hear this thing rattle off the arena floor

If that drum is a blade on one end and another diagonally opposite, but on the other end, and with no counterbalancing, then no doubt balancing would be an issue...must have shook itself apart !!!
Any video? I'd like to see that...lol

Thats after it was balanced. With lots of steel screws into the drum. Fixed it quite well actually. That rattle in the video was the teeth hitting the arena.
We started this thing up in the machine shop at EWCTC, without it balanced. And let me tell you. I was scared....
Sure cody show the one we lost in....

I have to say from watching the video between final and alpha...it looked like the shock bot was afraid to engage or hung up...if alpha's drum would have kept spinning, who knows what would have happened.
Keep tweaking it Josh...if you guys get it worked out by your next event, it could be revenge of the alpha....lol
Watching again.....lookslike the drum rattling off the floor or something else caused the alpha bot to have limited mobility.
Also looked like the shock bot with its 2 wheel drive was getting the front wedges or wahtever hung up on the floor????
just watched alpha vs the aftershock clone.....Josh...you guys are close...just iron out the bugs and
'spin to win' we might not have to wait till next year to see if big or small is more effective.
jmo....I have no horse in that race....
on a side note: Josh...stop stealing our stuff...lol just kidding...someone's paying attention I guess...

they decided to scrap the 4wd idea last minute on it so it kept getting high centered.
If they dont go back and they have the same arena at NRL there screwed with that bot

My 3's and 12's ran into WORSE luck at moto.....plus in the miami little arena, magnets won't help on the stainless floor....
They should stay with 2 wd and just put some of those ball rollers or whatever near the fron, perhaps adjustable to floor conditions...all that weight on the front end helps keep the nose down....
look at how zandor and some others moved pretty well at moto..and the floor there was way worse...i think???
wasn't your other drum also 2wd?

I think those are polarized in the wrong direction for you tho.. the poles go from flat side to flat side as compared to radially.. otherwise I love it!
