Single deans female. Loop of wire. Use good solder, shrink it, and electrical tape it. Then you can use the loop to pull the deans out.

ZIP TIE IT OR MAKE ANOTHER KIND OF SUPPORT. it will come out from a hard hit.

Design a metal piece to lock between them and not allow them to come apart.

Other wise its simple, light and cheap. I recommend it.

Uh, don't you mean single deans MALE?

Cuz if the removed part is female, then the male is two exposed conductors just waiting to accidentally short and turn your robot on. (Also why the batteries always have females on them--a disconnected battery is difficult to short!)

ps-don't ask me how I know this. . . Smile

our team used the removable deans power switch for all our bots including antweights (micro deans). just wire the bot so that it turns on if u simply plug in the battery, then jus cut one of the power wires and add a female dean. then with the male dean, solder the outputs together and that should be your switch. pretty simple and reliable

in the antweights with micro deans, we just made a bridge with solder and covered with electrical tape. for hobbies we used a short piece of 12 gauge noodle wire to connect the leads and jus covered with electrical tape. i'll try to find a pic if i have, but should be pretty simple to understand.

But I don't have noodle wire Sad

14gauge wire then. Just solder the freakin thing on, and insulate the tabs.

it doesn't have to be noodle wire, i jus use it cuz it's the most flexible which only requires me to use a short length of wire. if you have a local hobby store, you should be able to find it there. jus do whatevr u need to connect the two leads together ;P
