| The words of Jim Iocca on the other forum
3334.46 in reply to 3334.45 Greetings all, Its that time of year again. Motorama '11 registration is now open . I will be handling registration this year so please direct any reg questions to me first. Moto will have the same format as last year with fairies, ants, beetles, hobbies, 30s and sportsman.
REGISTRATION: Closes 12/31/10 Simply put if I have not received your paperwork and payment by then, you will not be allowed to participate.
To register to fight you will need to complete the following paperwork: http://www.nerc.us/forms/liability.htm
http://www.nerc.us/forms/liability.pdf
http://www.nerc.us/forms/safety.pdf (this form should not be mailed to me it should be brought with you, with 1 form for each robot)
CRITICAL REMINDER: For participants under the age of 18 the Motorama liability form must be Notarized or your registration will not be approved.
Registration also requires the following fees: Fairies - $22 Ants - $22 Beetles - $33 12s - $45 15s - $45 30s - $60 sportsman - $60 Parking costs an additional $16 additional pit passes $40 each
Same rules as last year: 2 Pit Passes are allowed per team at the maximum. One bot per class gets you one pass. Example: One bot and 2 crew members only gets you only one pass. Two bots and 2 crew members gets you two passes. 3 bots and 3 crew members gets you only two passes.
Checks should be made out to: Northeast Robotics Club Paypal payment should be made out to: robotconflict at Gmail.com
All paper work should be mailed to me:
James Iocca 126 Trimble Blvd Brookhaven PA 19015
If you need to contact me please do so through the forum or through my email: ioccajr at yahoo.com
I will check this thread often to answer questions.
So this is my first gentle reminder. Send in your paper work as soon as possible or suffer me sending you repeated annoying database emails.
Jim

| please do hurry, your paper work must be in by Dec 31st. I fear this will be the last trial for the 15s this year, if they don't get a respectable number of bots to show they probable won't offer the class again. | |

| I just messaged a couple of kids from BCA(titanium knights) about this.
They are also interested, it is a strong possibility that they are there with Ubercutter, and a new robot(I suspect Uknight but with a beater)
they may also bring a few ant weights | |

| Judging by the number of people saying "If more people sign up, we'll go" it might not be a bad idea to sign up and get all the paperwork ready to go now instead of waiting for the other teams saying the same thing to do it. | |

| For those of you on the fence, get started with the registration process. It doesn’t cost anything to get the ball rolling. You just need to create a team on the Buildersdb.com and then add team member’s information. Of course there is the robot you have to enter also..
It took just a few minutes to finish the process. It took me longer to get the kids date of birth, address and their parent information than anything.
Go ahead... The challenge is now available to all of those that wanted more competitions at a reasonable cost. In a 16 x 16 arenas too... that is 4X's larger than the arena in Miami. Driving might actually come into play at this event...lol.
December is almost half over... get the paperwork started before it is too late!
Don't be intimidated by Bloomsburg's robots... there are only two returning students... the rest are rookies looking to find out what robot fighting is all about...lol

| We had 1/16 of ground clearance last year and got really hooked up everywhere...
Dont let that deter you though.... They did not replace the floor last year or paint it....
It should be better this year with a paint job and some new pieces....
You only need 3/16 to 1/4 inch clearance to run without any problems....
It isnt all that bad....
Just dont rely on a metal floor that is perfect like our Local IQ....
If you have anything over 1/8 inch clearance you should be able to do just fine...
We have been there the past three years and that has worked for us....
Except last year when we designed for perfect clearance locally and forgot about NERC...
Just get registered and go have fun...
You will meet some of the best in the battles there and get some great info and friendships plus see some of the best battles out there..
12 and Counting.... Lets Go get them Registered...

| Ya but that is including 8 bots from just us and 4 from Bloomsburg...
Hope Everyone else decides to have a run at it....
I will probably end up moving 4 of mine into the Hobbyweight once we get more bots registered.
My son wants to fight his in the HS Class but it will be a 12 # bot for Hobby..
More Events to fight in....
He just wants to talk smack on Steve again...
