dethinator's miami debut

Well. for those of you who saw dethinator in action, what did you think?

Our final problem was an electronics problem, not a mechanical one - the speed controllers had power and signal but 0V output. we tried replacing them to no avail...
maybe it's time to switch to relays. I'm just worried about the current draw on the battery with two motors starting at 0RPM and given full power...

Change the teeth. Definitely. Didn't seem like it was catching on to the robots. Or even doing any damage.

well we weren't spinning as fast as I wanted to which I think was most of the problem, but I do want to extend them out a bit... :]

good idea. and maybe add some towards the middle of the robot rather than just at the bottom.

in about half an hour, when my computer finishes rendering it, I'll have a video of our fights... it's really not great, but it sort of gets the point across.



Personally, I don't have many pictures. I'll go through what Julien's mom took and look at those...

(if it says "not available" then it hasn't finished processing yet...)

no. Ran out of storage on the camera about 50% of the way through the match...

My fault really.

I also did terrible with the camera work. Need to do better in the future if I get tasked with it again...

I end up watching the match and not the camera...

yea...i noticed that. lol
