| Building a 15 lb bots in my class, drum weapon, around 3.5 lbs, mamba monster for weapon motor, we are planning a 1" pulley on motor 3"on drum, what suggestions for belts and pulley, one or two belts, a post from a guy from Canada that made or sold belts, ring any bells, Timing pulley and belts??? We can make smooth or v-belt pulleys?
Planning on 12-15K rpm on the drum | |

| I would recommend L series timing pulleys with neoprene belts, or a smooth pulley could work too. | |

| you really shouldnt have to unless the drum is a 5inch od
if you have a outer support for your weapon motor shaft I would use the teeth with a kevlar belt but if it doesnt I would go with a inverted neoprene belt | |

| because your more likely of getting a big bite on bigger weapons and would put more stress on the belt, but beaters tend to do that more than drums. | |

| So you want to flip the belt will a large weapon? or is that to big a weapon 5" for a Bots IQ class | |
