Actually, there is typically a lot of chatter around the beginning of the year. As the competition approaches, that is when we experience the calm before the storm. The storm as in the competition of course.

We are actually not in a bad position right now. We are typically completely disassembled working out problems at this point.

I think I a lot of the teams have just been really busy preparing this year, Plum still has a bit to do before the competition.

@Keknom how u hav 9 posts and half my skills? pale
But seriously. jocolor

I don't think half of the teams even know about this site that are in BotsIQ. If they did we would see a much better quality of robots, but every year I continue to be blown away.

Not to mention everyone is so secretive. [/sarcasm font]Could you imagine seeing a build report for a bot on here?! Someone might spend there next few weeks designing just to beat your bot[/sarcasm font]

we are slowly but surely getting stuff done, we are hoping to get parts back from machining tomorrow or friday, and then from there it will be working out all bugs possible for next saturday, at this point i can just hope and pray that we get everything done with out any setbacks such as a tornado confused , although nervous, i also feel quite a bit of excitement to see how this year's bot does, should be a great year for all What a Face

There was quite the wind storm last year right before prelims.
I was at the school with the others getting our bot running for the first time the night before.

You do what you gotta do when robots are involved!
I'm excited, regardless of how well we do.
I just like walking around at the comps, taking pictures of everything.

If everyone did that, there would be A LOT less scrap bots.
I just like seeing the innovations. This year we did our own thing 90% of the way.
Last year for Mini Nuke there was a lot more, "What did they do? How did they do that?"

As a whole though, I have seen a fair amount of improvement from my first year. Last year there really weren't any robots made from plexiglass and plywood like I saw my first year. Most people have made some improvement.
