They really are! Propel has an admirable wedge with actual steel. This one bot was slow, but got under everyone and beat propel. Kiski got better as the day progressed. We beat them the first time we fought them, lost for the next to final to them for the first time, then re-matched them for the final and I tried my HARDEST, but we drained everything and you can clearly understand why our bot shut off.

Haha yeah? A wedge is a very powerful tool in the right hands. I'm not ashamed.

Haha we try to make up for the lack of emotion that our robots have. You could say we try to liven things up.

since no one updated this
bracket A winner was Kiski - the bot we lost to (went 1-2 against them) wedge bot with floating thick front wedge
Bracket B winner was mapletown wedge at each end but opposite so when flipped still had a wedge on the ground.
this seems to follow the treads i have been seeing on all the robot competitions and builders DB. But then again this is prelims and bracket A and B was missing 3 schools and 5 total robots. the biggest baddest robot could have been a no show makes you think what if.......

Curious as to whether Reaper couldn't get what they needed, or if they have the confidence to skip prelims.

I forgot about this vid. It deserves to get it's views up for sure:
Scar really is a decent robot, it just shows how having a weapon alone does not win fights as the match is like a mouse running around the cobra, then the cobra broke both fangs on the first bite and died.

Black Mamba/Honeybadger vs. Kiski
Look who else lost to a wedge! But seriously, I don't know what's up with the Mambabadger this year. Maybe re-naming their robot after one of the few enemies of snakes wasn't a good idea.

we lost a tooth twice. both times on aluminum. ( also once on wood in a testing center. look in the coming months for a topic about proper testing enclosures) But we did not lose it on the steel of propel. If you send out cad of a square ( four sided tooth) tooth and get back a 6 sided tooth instead. problems will occur. the problem was fixed at the competition and will not be a problem in the future either.
