quick question, does anybody have any idea why our bane bot speed controllers would be dying in unison, even though they were working fine today, they have no smoke coming from them, they are cool, they are not getting power and obviously not sinking with the reciever, we checked the wiring with other speed controllers and the system worked fine, however in the last 2 days we have gone thru 4 banebot speed controllers at this point my team and i are at a lost on what is going on

Man, that's tough...
My thought is that it's your wiring?
We had bad wiring early in the year and blew 2 esc's at once, but they did get kinda hot.
I hope you figure it out.

I can tell you typed quickly, so I wanna check: Are they getting power or not? (U sed no, but I think U mean yes)

I think the problem might be that your 'zero' settings on your tx (or the bind settings on the rx) are not the same as the 'zero' your banebots 'expect.' This has been a problem I've run into several times, so that's what I am guessing.

The BB13-45 needs to receive a neutral signal before it will respond to any other commands from the receiver. I figured this out after replacing the rx with a servo tester just to eliminate variables in a troublesome bot. The servo tester has two LEDs (one red, one green) that both light up when you are at neutral signal, so I found out the BB12-45's weren't working because they needed a slightly off-center signal before they would arm.

Check to see if someone has played with your trim settings, and even if they have not, try clicking them one step at a time with a second or so wait between clicks to see if your ESCs suddenly become active once again.

It is quite possible they aren't synched to the receiver as rdubard said.
Set trim at all neutral positions, bind, then if nothing moves and banebots just flash and do nothing, adjust the trim of each esc to one direction until they turn on.

Sometimes you have to go two directions, sometimes you don't.

thank you for the advice, and yes i was typin incredibly quick with less than 4 hrs of sleep sorry bout that, and as far as i know we were not receiving power to the 2 escs, however when we plugged in our new backups they worked, so at least in aggreeance of our team both old escs were dead ( could there be a possibility that the "dead escs" are still ok and just need some readjustment with in the transmitter), we started looking at past postings is it possible that the bec wires are fighting eachother through out and causing them to die this was just a thought

Then I was wrong on two counts
1) you did NOT mean they were getting power--no evidence of power to ESC
2) you weren't typing so fast you made any mistakes

Now, if NO lights come on (not even blinking), then I think your ESCs have died, or there is a loose power connection or your batteries are VERY dead.

And one other possibility occurs to me, but I think only my team is careless enough to do this: you have wrecked your Whyachi switch, and the reason nothing works is because there's no way to turn the robot on. Actually, it seems you said something that makes this not an option--replacing the ESCs solved the problem--so you did not overtighten the switch (yet?).

I have a few BB-12-45s that also do nothing when powered up--I have kept them for spare parts, and it seems the power handling chips are still good, it's just the control circuits that have fried (dunno why).

good luck.
