We made three 5 cell A123 packs for last years bot, they worked fine except we can not get them to balance, they charge, but if we try to balance and charge we get an error, if we just charge they work fine, I feel balance lead problems, to plug into the EH board, one red and 5 black leads, should the red lead be in the top or negative spot, it is not , do I move it? Will not read any amps going in on display the way it is now? when charging

What kind of charger are you using?
I Used a thunder power tp610 this past year and had a terrible time with it and a123
It would constantly tell me there was a voltage error and stopped the charge and you couldnt charge without plugging the balance lead in

Ended up using cheap Chinese knock off chargers and they worked great!

HiTEC X4- thinking that might be a issue, only have one charger, I can charge and balance a 2 cell pack that I bought, from a shop that made them up, is there a way to tell or test the charger

check and assure that all wire lengths are the same, this could possibly screw you up if they are not
