Is anything planned for a 15lb competition in Florida this summer?

I know CuddleBunnt will be able to do so...and prbly most of the RE Robotics team's other robots.

The problem is "during the summer" A lot of people have trips to go on, people have jobs. Nola and Bill run summer programs, so they can't really help. On the other hand, if the arena that's at Starbot stays in Florida, then I'm pretty confident from past experience that they don't use the arena over the summer except in very rare cases, if at all; we had to set it up over the summer for one competition on one day and I think they took it right back down after. On top of that, the robots at Ransom would all have to be completed during the year because I highly doubt we'd get any money besides what we can raise ourselves for robotics over the summer. Also, Ransom Upper School is used as a summer camp and the robotics room is used, so we would have to finish everything before the year ends, and if the robots get totally destroyed at BBIQ, then it's unlikely that we'll be able to have those robots ready by the end of the year, considering the fact that our funds will most likely be entirely depleted by then.

I might be interested in taking a shot, so long as I'm not occupied with other projects at the time (which I unfortunately probably will be). Tyler already has heard of my half-brained scheme that I'd like to enter into an invention competition on campus this fall, and making the prototype might preclude any robot building.

@ Dughi: FYI, the RE Robotics Underground Lair (TM) is never used by the summer camp. I work there, we don't use it. In fact, I don't think the camp even has storage down there - and the office has completely moved out of that area as well (seeing as it is now occupied by the mills).

There is alot more to holding a competition then getting an arena and bots
You need to place insurance on the event incase someone gets hurt
People to do saftey inspections
Referees
People to run brackets
and people to do random things that are sure to come up

REally? My bad, I could have sworn that when I went down there over the summer once or twice it was being use for something.
