Did you ship your robot with problems unsolved?
Are you one part away from being finished?
Is Murphy's Law kicking your butt?

Let us know what kind of problems you are having and what we can do to help. We can do anything from bring some extra parts for you to help you debug your electronics. We can't bring what we need to help you if you don't let us us know what we need to bring.

did you see my post (or did i even post it... Razz) about how we think the capacitors might be bad in one of our short mags for our drive system? Only when that one motor is running, the RC signal for the IMX-1 mixer cuts out momentarily for that one motor, then if you torture test it enough, it cuts out for both and won't come back until you reset power in the bot. Do you have a back of a magmotor? Like if you busted an armature or something like that and the back half with the leads and caps and brushes is still good? We have plenty of extra brushes, but I just want to do some debugging and see if that is really the problem...

Of course, that's asking an awful lot... Razz

And thank you for your help. :]

sweet! We've worked closely with the sweeneys in the past - they built excellerator 3 - but this year we kind of didn't... But the sweeneys have a shitload of spare parts and stuff that we were hoping to borrow... but they're moving and are UNREACHABLE!! D: I've tried calling every number I have of theirs repeatedly and I can't get through to them... :/

so thank you so much if you do!

I have a MAJOR problem with my robot. I might not be able to compete if I don't fix it asap.

I had to ship it Monday night by 8:00 and everything was working great, until I decided to paint it. It was 5:30 so I had to hurry, but to follow with my old teams tradition, I decided to use Dykem. Well I didn't have painters tape so I decided to use masking tape and I cut out the name of the robot and put the schools name on it etc. After all was said and done, I pealed the tape off and to my surprise, the Dykem bled through. I now have a robot that looks like a POS. And, excuse the arrogance but, I thought it looked pretty cool, pre the ghetto paint job. I was going to post a pic but now I'm too embarassed.

Hopefully someone will have some nail polish remover or something so I salvage my robot.

I know at nationals last year someone had a gallon of acetone... you should be okay.

Matt, thank you SO much. When we get out there, I do want to test our drive setup with your mag, to see if that was the problem, just so i can have some piece of mind. I don't think I'll actually USE it in the competition until I start having major problems with the other one, or if it fixes it so miraculously during testing that I feel compelled to switch it. In which case, I owe you something...
