| I use a Thor 883 to control the magmotor, so yes, I can reverse on the fly, run at half throttle, etc... | |

| I've decided to retire Apollyon/IO. Working on getting myself an early 70's Datsun Z car. I'll still finish and compete with Mr. SD, but I'm limiting my bot stuff to one bot at a time to help with the cost. | |

| Have you ever seen a z car with a small block chevy swap? they're bad booty, you can achieve the same thing turboing it but its alot cheaper. All depends if you wanna autocross car or a straight line lol | |

| Yeah, it's a pretty common swap. Handling might not be too bad after, as some newer v8's aren't much heavier than the straight 6 it's got now. Either way, power upgrades are coming after suspension work, so it'll be a while. | |

| No real bot news. Still waiting on the Firecrackers. The 260z did survive a round trip from Rochester, NY to Elm City, NC without complaint. Planning brake and suspension upgrades in the nearish future. Build report for Mr. Self Destruct was in the August issue of servo. | |

| Still haven't tracked down video of all of IO's fights at BBots. If anyone has video of IO vs. Death Fe, Bob 2 or Senioritis, I'd love to get a copy. Also, I'm thinking about rebuilding Apollyon/IO. Here's a quick concept render done in Rhino 3d | |

| have you considered rolling the corners of the wedge like on Test Bot? do you think they would even make a difference against hor bars and undercutters? | |

| The old version did have the corners bent down, and while they did get hit occasionally, I don't think they did all that much as far as preventing chassis damage is concerned. Getting good enough driving the 'bot to keep the nose pointed the right direction is far more important in my opinion. | |
