| Has anyone run Victor 885s on 8S before? Do they hold up or do they blow up? | |

| I believe the MOSFETS used in 885s are these: (should be easy enough for you to check, or I can take a look tomorrow) http://www.irf.com/product-info/datasheets/data/irf3703.pdf
With a breakdown voltage of 30V, they should be ok on 8S LiFe (29.6V @ max charge) but may not make it to 8S LiPo (33.6 V @ max charge). Though, I will defer to anyone who's actually tried it... | |

| There used to be a 48V version of the Victor SC. We have two of them running on 8s in El Cholo to drive the two Magmotors for the weapon. They worked wonderfully, but are no longer available (don't know what we are gonna do when/if they break) They LOOK almost exactly like the 885, but you could call IFI and ask to make sure. As I have always understood it, most of the Victors are the same, with slight control circuitry and current handling differences, but the fans are all different and MUST be rated to the applied voltage. You might also try calling the folks at RobotMarketplace--they are really quite knowledgeable. | |
