Scorpion XL on 5s A123 with 540s geared at 16:1 with 3" wheels
At full throttle or quickly going forward to reverse the esc looses signal, is it current limiting?
With the throttle turned down to 65%ish it doesn't do it but will when the stick is in the corners
I'm planning on swapping a stage in the gearbox so they're 20:1 and possibly going to 550

Tips? Ideas? Itll be a few days before I can check how much current the motors are pulling

Could be limiting and it just clips it, or it could pull so much the BEC loses power.
the Scorpion has a BEC built in right?

The 550 motors are legit. When we changed them out last year our robots were noticeably faster and had a bit more torque. The current they can pull is a trade-off of course.

I like the 20:1 speed, I kind of wish Omnom had 16:1 this year with me not getting the Torquemasters figured out.

Hope you get it figured out.

Yeah me too lol, electronics really arent my thing
It's not that bad but its already annoying and it'll get the bot owned

Once I measure the current draw ill probably be emailing robot power

Electronics are the devil.
I hate when a theoretical set up is bulletproof, put it together though and it doesn't work.

Last year our homie at pro4mance hobbies helped us out big time and Mr P and him talked a lot.
We used to have a forum on their site, then me and P both got banned and at the comp we saw their name on another robot.
