Jeeves I was checking out the videos from previous competitions, does no one use wireless controllers with their bots? Or internal batteries? Basically what is the wire running into all of the bots?

As can be seen in the video, it drives. its not pretty and it noisy but it moves. The clicking is from the drill motors clutches which i will have to remove in a little while.
Also we seem to have one side moving faster than the other making it harder to drive in a straigt line. This is my first time running a pistol grip controller with a v-tail mixer.
Normally I would adjust the travel on which ever channel was going faster, but I dont know which channel it is with the mixer in there. so if anyone has experience with pistol grip control please advise.
The weapon will be tested shortly
Luke

If you are running Victors, like the earlier posts suggested, then I would recommend: Put the bot up on blocks, so the wheels don't touch anything. Trim your steering and throttle so that no wheels are moving when you are not touching the controller (NO throttle forward or reverse, NO steering left or right) NOW, calibrate Victors for one side (ignore how the other side is acting) It is getting difficult to find info about the old Victors, InnovationFirst has pretty much abandoned them in favor of VEX stuff, but if for some reason you don't know how to calibrate one, RobotMarketPlace has this link on 'how to.' It may not last forever, but then the speed controller might not either!!
Anyway, after that side is calibrated, just calibrate the other, then you should be 'good to go.'
However, it's entirely possible that your problems are because the slip clutches are slipping unevenly, and that has NOTHING to do with your mixing. . . .
Looking good, best of luck!!

No not yet, the beater turned out to be off balanced due to the dead space being roughcut instead of being milled, so we gave it to a machine shop to have it corrected. Once it comes back we will upload the weapon test.
In other good news, we're in! Our robot was selected to compete. one of 64 teams for the event in january.

Unfortunately we had to withdraw from the competition due to team issues, and problem with the weapon.
