I am going to sell a version of these gearboxes in the very near future.
I have some samples coming that look like the Ebay 1000 rpm ones, which I am currently using along with better, hotter motors.
I also have some samples of a 25mm planetary box. Both will come with basically the same motors that I am using at the moment.
I am also trying to get them to replace any and all phillips head screws with shcs w/ lock washers, so the boxes don't fall apart so quickly.
Pete sent me the EBay's and the motors were loose after 30 seconds of running on the bench...lol
In any case, the basic box (Ebay clone) should be almost twice as fast and have 5 times the torque of the current Ebays
I have multiple ratios ( of the ebay clones) coming as well. 16,25,50,125 (rough ratios),
The planetaries are only coming as a 16:1, but if they seem better and are not too much more $$, then I may change directions and go that route.
I know the MLEC liked the old 16 bbot 36mm and you guys preferred the 20:1
Ratios around 50 might be preferred fo bots that don't want twice the speed, but a lot more torque for extreme pushy applications
For lifter . clamper type weapons, perhaps the 125 would be a good choice (I will test this sample until it blows up)
What are your thoughts?
spur vs planetary?
What would be your preferred ratio, if motor kv is in the 2000 + range?
When the smoke clears, I will be dumping a load of cash and end up with many hundreds of something and hoping to sell a better gear box/motor combo for a reasonable price.
Escs are Botbitz and so far I like them a lot.
