| Yep, this is the thread for my first ever antweight project, FireArrow. Got bored today, made a cardboard mockup of the armor and stuff sorry for the blurry pic, it was rushed | |

| Let's see, I'm using Lite Flites, Fingertech Silver Sparks, TinyESCs, a Spektrum radio system and an E-Flite battery. Currently have everything but the battery and charger. | |

| I have the 33.3:1 Silver Sparks, and this is the battery I've chosen. Still waiting for the battery to be restocked though... Also colored in the mockup, just so everyone can see what the paintjob will look like... | |

| Yeah, but it's already ordered. I guess we could cancel it or something but it seems like too much of a hassle. | |

| That's true, there's only one spinner registered for Bot Blast as of yet
maybe next year I'll be able to coax my parents to get some titanium, idk

| You really shouldn't need a lot and how much does that piece of aluminum weight because you could probably use .050 | |

| My bot used that exact same battery for a while, but I abuse mine with accidental shorting/peak charging only, and ended up with a dead cell after about 2 weeks of testing. You should see about 10-15 minutes out of that battery per charge. | |

| Actually we canceled the order on that battery (because it was taking forever to restock) and got a Hobbyking Nanotech to go along with the charger instead. | |

| And the battery/charger came yesterday!
We also drilled some holes in the side plates to mount the motors. I'll post pics once I get them off my camera.

| Everything but the wedge is attached at this point. (observant people may spot a piece of scotch tape I used to attach the wedge for the photo). Also the switch is currently installed, but none of the wiring is done. | |

| The wiring is the hardest part In my opinion Fancy little wedge you got there! when it's done, try closing doors with it | |

| Thanks man Bent back the sides of the wedge for more spinner resistance. Also made the wedge more flush and got some holes up top for the screws that are supposed to go there. | |

| Nice progress :3 Also, a few tips. For the bent sides, always make sure they are far away from the blade of a spinner. if it's clockwise, don't let it near the left of your bot, and always try to face the leading edge of the weapon. For uppercutters, aim for them at an angle so they can't get a good head-on bite. As for your wedge, I suggest driving it on concrete or other abrasive surface until it looks something like this image. tape some weights to the front to speed up the process. As for testing purposes, your bot should be able to withstand a heavy smack with a hammer from behind the wedge. Extra weight should be distributed towards the center of the bot so as to maintain grip while having a heavier and lower front end than the competition. Unfortunetely, I have no experience in the matter yet, but I believe most of what i said is true XD | |

| I know most of that The plan was to indeed make the wedge flush. I think that's what I'm going to end up doing next. | |
