New Team Whyachi Gearboxes

Anybody else notice the two new gearboxes that where quietly put up on Team Whyachi's page with no notice? I wonder if these have anything to do with a falcon upgrade...

nope. falcon still has the old gearboxes in it.

Nope, babs used 4 of there astroflight gearboxes.

Actually they are coming out with a ever newer line of Team Whyachi Gearboxes, its a planetary style one but more like the build of a banebots gearbox. A 3.25'' square with ouput shaft concentric to that of the motor. Terry Ewert was nice enough to send me a picture and testing video of their prototype.

What do y'all want to bet that it is mostly manufactured on their new waterjet. Now the conversation I had with them at the competition makes more sense. they where saying the additional axi allows them to make much sharper corners.

well I talked to team whyachi via email and it looks like the new gearbox will be released in about a month.

Alright, I emailed Team Whyachi and they sent me the PDF with the dimensions of the new gearbox, and they said it would be up on the site at the end of July.

That has the PDF, the picture, and a DWG that I drew earlier today. It's got both "stage 1" and "stage 2" gearboxes, whatever that means, with the 3/4-inch and 1-inch diameter shafts (I chose to make it 3 inches long; I don't think it matters). Anyways, less work for you, post back if something isn't right.

Couldn't read the drawing, but the pdf is fine...

Looks like a nice unit...what do they cost...$$$$

They didn't say how much, all they said was that they should be up on their site by the end of July.

No Autocad on this computer...plus the site is trying to send other sutff to my computer, so I cancelled.

The pdf pretty uch shows what I wanted to see at the moment.
