| This looks promising. According to the video, the fuel cell can sustain an RC car at speeds around 50 mph for 45 min to an hour. | |

| Eh, it'd probably diffuse quickly. I'd wager that it would cause less damage to the robot overall if it developed a leak compared to a lipo fire. | |

| How does it handle large spikes of amperage? | |

With Will's build quality, the fuel cell could explode like an H-bomb wiping out all of Florida and the only think left standing would be fluffy. We can only hope for big bang.

I was thinking fuel leak then Lipo fire ..then....KABOOM....

I was thinking fuel leak then Lipo fire ..then....KABOOM.... Why would you need a Lipo when all your electrical power comes from a fuel cell? Still, the most likely ignition scenario would be either directly during the hit (hot metal igniting the hydrogen), or when the gas comes in contact with the brushes of a still-running brushed motor.

| Looks like this setup doesn't need one. It's not a bad idea for some applications, but depending on power output vs consumption it may be unnecessary. The product page claims it's only power comes from the fuel cell (15 Watt-hours worth [13 Liters] of hydrogen in the tanks):

EDIT: though I still doubt it would cause much damage (considering how many openings there are in a typical robot chassis), 13 L of hydrogen going off at once would look totally awesome, and sound even more awesome than it would look.

| don't be ridiculous! Fluffy doesn't need hydrogen to make an explosion! | |
