hahaha there are still a couple bots at our local competition that are built entirely from lexan. Its funny how we tore up all the lexan bots our first year with shockwave so most bots are metal now and last year we flipped alot of bots so many of them are invertable now. Im not to sure what you could do to hide from Still'n Shock tho

That reminds me - at the 2005 Nationals in Orlando, there was a team next to us that had a wedge made entirely of lexan; chassis, armor, mounts, everything. They get put up against a robot called "Falcon 15", a titanium drum. Needless to say, it was a short match (it was over in less than 10 seconds). Their robot literally exploded; they brought what was left of their robot back to their table and I'm not sure if they ever got it back together again.

i remember seeing a couple tube chasis bots covered with lexan in last years national 120 class

Well, a few inches of lexan is quite a different thing from 1/8th inch plate. Still, I don't really trust the stuff too much after what I've seen happen to it.
