I would have liked Mini Nuke to go weapon to weapon with KV We may have been twice the width of the other Clairton robot's weapon(Game Over), but I figure our final outer speed was similar after you take drag, our belt tension and wind resistance into account. We could have busted out the good bearings and higher volt battery for that match.
To be honest though our weapon still spun too fast with how we drove. If we had an even better drive we would have been fine, but as the day progressed and our bearings locked up we got better hits.
I've pretty much uploaded most of my videos. I don't have much left to upload until I get my mom's camcorder and then I'll go from there.

like James said, he has every single fight from prelims to now on the camcorder. if anyone wants the video once we get it converted to digital ask me or him.
Sorry for the rip James. i figured it would be a HUUUGE file and i know a few ways to send them. didnt know if you have a program or what not to shrink video files

as for the weapon, truthfully we have no idea. we havent tested the robot since the last fight so we dont know. Either the weapons ESC started to get messed up, the motor finally gave out (it was getting pretty beat up), or the motor mount came loose and it wasn't spinning correctly

Weapon motors shouldnt get beat up, we had 25+ fights on motors without problems

I have to admit i am actually glad you guys didn't win, our robot was in no shape to fight a good match up.
we were literally scrambling trying to get it taken apart to fix a few minor things and with only 3 people its alot harder then it sounds. Thankfully Don from plum was bored enough to come over and helped us out. We really couldn't have finished without him.
then we just got lucky by breaking Bell Vernon's belt at the beginning.
though i do have to say i knew where all the high spots in the floor were since our other robot had clearance issues as well. i had a strategy in mind if u guys won xD

a few matches earlier we blew the back off the motor. It was being held on by zip ties and superglue lol. Our front mount was only holding on by one screw and whatever locktight ran onto it

cool man yah i would have loved to fight mini nuke i what was up with the weapon when u fought bell Vernon it would spin up and do nothing
We bent the shaft and our bearings weren't as loose as they used to be. our electronics and motor were perfectly fine We didn't have long enough time to get spin up against Belle Vernon because our spin up was already slow as it was.

Didn't I tell you guys to support the back plates?
That was all Mr. P saying that it would be fine. Our other robot didn't support the back so we went with it. When we had a back support Brandon theorized that it really wasn't pulling tight anyways so screw it. The motor only fell out because Black Mamba hit us hard
We didn't fix our weapon because Belle Vernon wasn't supposed to have a weapon either so it wasn't a big deal.
Being from Plum Don had experience working on Still 'n' Shock which made him well versed at helping us with Mini Nuke

The smaller drum doesnt create nearly the same torque/moment across you weapon shaft which is probably why it was ok there The big hits will twist the motor and the motor mount

That wasn't his theory. I'm not blaming him saying he made us lose I'm just saying how we looked at it. The motor only had one "loose" screw holding it to the mount at the end and the end clamping it together was floating with only 2 small zipties.
It's amazing how imprecise some of the things on these robots can be and they still perform. At least on our robot.

How many times have I told you most of the stuff on our bot is half-assed, spray paint can go a long way
