Tad late of a reply but Dcf means that the decarbed portion has been removed, Hot rolled means that the metal will come with a black scaly finish and a layer of decarb due to the hot rolling process. Grounded means that the tool steel has been ground down to the proper thickness. | |

| So you're saying that you can get either decarb or hot roll, and either one can be ground? More work in hot roll and unground, cuz you gotta mill all dimensions to size and then descale after hardening? Just wanna make sure I understand. | |

Just wanna make sure I understand. yep as far as I believe , and ones without the decarbed portion removed will not harden as well. | |
