That was a great match! I just scoped it. I haven't had time to watch all of the vids until today and it was great.

ha thank you in all honesty i have no shame in losing that match because it was an incredible bout and had we not got stuck it probably would have come down to judges decision, well played plum hope that another match like that is in the near future

yah i feel like kv gave black out a run for its money ...

I've always wanted to see kv get a nice long match in, but most the matches I see a problem happens.
I wish Omnom would have kept going so I could have been in great matches with you guys

yea blackout just kept on taking beating after beating even on its last match i thought it was going to win

I'd kinda like to see teams get an unstick per match

i gotta say, i started thinking back to the competition and i think one team that is sometimes looked over, where in reality they are incredibly competitive is punxy, in my eyes they are a force to reckoned with

They kind of had somewhat of a Black Mamba(Honey Badger) syndrome going on, where they have a weapon that could tear something in half, but I most always seen them have issues driving right.

A few years ago a member of there team came on here rattling off numbers and basically acted like they had the bot of all bots
we tried to give him a little advice and he just said yeah whatever

They've had some really well built bots for the past few years but like EWCTC I think they don't Have the best luck with electronics bugs
I didn't really talk to ten but punxys team this year seemed like a nicer, more friendly group of kids then in the past

they were an amazing team and ill give em credit for that match against blackout

Hempfield once again good job for that match against blackout i have to say it was one of the best 3 matches of the day. Clairion had an amazing grudge match at the end and punxy handed it to use but we gave em a fight i was talking to em at the end of the match and they said " steve had scared me several times during the match" so even tho steve got it handed to him he did really good and i have to credit him and don for amazing driving all weekend

Haha, I also always tried to root for the underdog. I'm glad Don could win everything, but I was trying to give support to Kiski too because I think they were disheartened a bit to face Don again.

I regret not talking to more people in previous years and just keeping to my own team.
Don was the only person we really talked to last year.
This year I tried to talk to everyone. I didn't get to talk to West Mifflin as much as I'd of liked, or Punxy at all.
I talked to the Mamba Badger team, woodland hills, steel center, and Kiski throughout both days. The adviser for Scar II's team was also a really cool dude. He knew what he was talking about and his engineering was solid.

If anyone ever wants my input on anything you know I'm good for it. You know my main priority will always be Clairton, but I want to make everyone else as competitive as possible as well. I don't know much, but I like giving criticism.

Side note, I don't think Plum's adviser liked me. He got mad when I borrowed tools and I heard he told Garrett to leave Don and Plum Steve alone when he was trying to help.

I wasn't a fan of my adviser's ideology either. Unless I faced Plum and they somehow got stuck on the floor, I don't like leaving the other robot stranded, that isn't an exciting win. I go all out and Mr Beard didn't like that, he told me to not be a hero and that isn't fun at all. I helped build a robot and I'm sure as heck going to see what it can do.

He was upset about them "lending" banebots without asking/telling him first so he got edgy about them letting out tools (other things hadn't been returned)
He also started getting wierd about Alex and I being in the pits and you saw how much that deterred us lol

Haha we had our own friend in our pit.
Beard kind of gives us ideas and tells us what "he" wants us to do, then we just do what we want to do.
He was bent out of shape we didn't win sportsmanship. Guess we gotta buy cookies next year. xD

haha we got a new adviser this year and he came into it knowing pretty much nothing so the students were pretty much the teachers this year. i remember he was the same way with the tools but we eventualy were just like hey if its not in your hand or in one of our robots give it away haha

I'm just pretty geeked to see next years bots, and all the improvements that are made, especially in the rookie teams.

:/ unfortunately that extends to more than simply robotics, and appears to be a fact of life.

We're going on 6 years now that some teams have had the same problems!
