I can't wait to buy one of these and of course there will be some mods. Can you say Home Defence System?

I bet at one point or another, we all fantasized about having a light saber like luke skywalker or at least han solo's blaster right? Well now you can buy a real blaster for only 2 grand!
Apparently it has a power cell that is good for 150 shots at full power, and, with a focusing lens can 'burn hot enough to make air explode at the focus point. That's right: They can kill the air itself.' -Cracked.com

Pretty nice, I bet with a little work someone could make a fairly decent CNC laser cutter using one of those.

during the equinox, you can stand an egg up on end, and it will not fall over...only a couple of days left to try it.
Any other time of the year, it will fall over...

Urban Legend. Just hold it steady with the point facing up for a little bit (30 seconds is probably more than enough) and the yolk will descend, dropping the center of gravity and rendering it stable enough to stay standing.

It should work on the small end too. And that buck would be mine, because I did this as an experiment in middle school .
The gravitational effects from the sun and the moon are too small to cause any effect, otherwise we'd have more interesting phenomena, like massive volcanic activity based on what time of day/lunar cycle it was.

It would be a pain to get the second balanced, but it should be possible. The fastest way would be to balance the first, place a screw-on bottle cap on the other end of it (flat surface), then balance the second egg using that surface. The [MUCH] slower way is to just use the other egg surface.
