Well, that is not 100% true... I do get genuinely intelligent discussions sometimes. And that keeps me fresh and on my toes.

It is different here though. I know Dan and a few others from school personally, and everyone here goes by actual name rather than internet identity.

I'm wondering the same thing... this kind of delay means 1 of 3 things:

1. An awesome victory party is delaying any news of what happened from getting out
2. They had to ritually disembowel themselves to restore their honor, which naturally gets in the way of posting updates
3. No one on the team did their schoolwork for Monday, and are furiously attempting to finish it instead of doing vastly more important things like tell us what happened

4. it was poorly organized or there were a ton of robots there and it is still going on.

Wow. I am really tired right now.. well, we've been out until just now. Here's how it went.

-We only entered Fluffy, and used Snuggles as "spare parts" (whole robot replacement!)
-We got 4th. The belts kept stripping. Unfortunately, we got a weapon motor that is TOO powerful.. damn! lol
-We got 3 awards for the robot alone; Best Engineered, People's Choice (coolest robot 2 in a row!!!) and Rumble Champion. CuddleBunny, the 15 pound version of SpiderPig, got Most Effort, or something like that..
-Carollton totally messed up the Fluffy externals, so we just switched receivers into Snuggles! haha! take that!
-PISTOL GRIP IS WORTH IT! driving was so much better. Also, it was so much easier when I didn't have to worry about operating the weapon at the same time! Alex is the man with the weapon controller.
-Unfortunately, because the drum didn't work as hoped, we don't have many big hits. also, we NEVER ran it past 1/2 speed, which was pretty fast by itself! If we had spun it to full speed, CuddleBunny would have hit the ceiling of the arena, 8 feet, at speed. it would have been REALLY SCARY!!!!!!

But it was a good competition.. we have some things that we need to work on.. like the weapon drive. We're thinking doubled up 1/2" belts instead of the current 1x 3/8" belt which just can't take the power, 3.75 Horsepower!

How bad did you get messed up?

uh.. lucky strike messed it up.. and yes, we took a whole bunch of videos between Mattaway and I.. and the first loss was to Carollton by stickage on our own parts! lol 2nd loss was to Rattler, which went the full three minutes, but they flipped us half way through.. but I thought it was great driving on our part. I'm a little dissapointed.. damn weapon drive.. but overall it was good and we got lots of awards!

Well, sounds like you guys had an OK showing even with all the mechanical difficulties and battery mishaps. Now there's just one thing left: Nationals.
