uh.. lucky strike messed it up.. and yes, we took a whole bunch of videos between Mattaway and I.. and the first loss was to Carollton by stickage on our own parts! lol 2nd loss was to Rattler, which went the full three minutes, but they flipped us half way through.. but I thought it was great driving on our part. I'm a little dissapointed.. damn weapon drive.. but overall it was good and we got lots of awards!
I TOOK VIDEOS TOO!! lol and that is awesome that i got an award!!

Can I assume now that CuddleBunny has had its debut, the "secret weapon" is now not quite as secret as it was before? At least as far as its basic function goes? (Dughi, Sean?)

It's basic function, I guess, but there are still a number of people who I'm sure don't know, so don't go around telling people, plus I'm sure very few people know how it's done, so wait on that.

5th place.... But it took some pretty mean damage to the shell and had some funky electrical issues at the end...
We lost our first match, our Controller cut out and wouldn't work. Won a couple matches and then electrical issues popped up... Tried everything except switching to a relay(which we didn't have time to try) including changing motors and speed controllers... Speed Controllers just kept outputting 0V.
Made for an interesting pushing match with Fluffy(although by this point it was probably more Snuggles than Fluffy...) and Dethinator both with malfunctioning weapons... But their drive system was better so they won.

I didn't see them last year. Lucky Strike has some definite room for improvement, but the weapon is absolutely wicked. Rattlers just have such insane drive systems that they push and slam everything around.
They also had a coach telling the driver what to do at every step....

damage on dethinator's shell wasn't nearly as bad as alan made it seem, one upright piece of 3/8" chromo tube on the ring got sheared and pulled a flat head through it's countersink from the other side of the aluminum pot. Other than that, mechanically it was very sound. Fluffy's drive system un-superglued our tires... ripping the rubber from the tires, leaving little shreds stuck to the wheels.
I wished it spun a little faster... I'm not sure what we're gonna do at nat'ls.
Will, thanks for your help, and offering your ESCs and all... I need a few days off before I dive head-first back into botworld, so thursday I'll look at it and figure out what's wrong... we'll probably end up switching to relays (my only inhibition with that is that relays may draw too much current from the battery by simply being on/off and starting the shell at 0). Overall, though, I'm pretty happy with our performance. Still a few kinks to work out...
congrats to fluffy for their people's choice and other wins. Cuddlebunny's ceiling sweeping was pretty cool (i got a good video)..

Very minor changes....the students driving them did a much better job, even though they had only one day to get used to the bots, which was a day more than they had last year lol
The robotics program at MLEC is just getting underway. It only started last year (mid-year)
If we can get a bit of funding, next year could be a good year.
