Weapons-Grade Black Delrin (WGBD)

WGBD stands for weapons-grade black delrin. I applaud anyone who knows what I'm talking about... who's not on my team...

Optimus Prime at nationals last year entered a bot with a weapon made out of WGBD with aluminum blades bolted to it.

i don't know who let that one pass. It looks like their second attempt is significantly better.

I remember this from the design section, my polymer/composite weapon idea. I guess this is an example of an EPIC FAIL moment for that idea.

The problem was a combination of the fact that they used plastic, and that their thinnest point on the weapon was the point of highest stress... oops...
