My laptops a little over 1/2" a year old and now i keep having problems with a bad screen flicker.
I tried playing with the refresh rate with no differences and there is nothing that could be causeing an interfernece.
Any ideas besides it just may be going bad?

something similar happened to my compaq presarion notebook 3 months old. it wasn;t that the screen was bad. the connections were lose
and 1/2 a year means manufacturers waranty. if its compaq and hp or dell they are pretty good about it

Acer Aspire 5920-6444, and you geussed it has Vista
Its really weird i dimed the screen and it wasnt as bad, then i checked for windows updates and installed two new ones, and i havent had the problem since.
We'll see what happens
Its still under factory warranty and i also have a 3 yr warranty that covers anything and everything lol so im not to worried about it, its just a pain

Yeah, that sounds like either a bad connection or bad backlight bulbs. Send it in for repairs.
