| Here's a quick update... The 3 pound wedge ...named SOT or Son of Thump is pretty much finished. All that is left to do is install a bit more armor and an on/off switch. Here's a picture It is extremely fast and has a lot of pushing power. I ran it for around 10 minutes this evening and it runs great!!! The drumbot is almost ready as well....a day or so left on it. | |

In a few days you'll see the mini drum and wedge next to eaxh other If I can get the 15 lbs bot from mlec, then you'll see the size difference Notice the deck of cards next to this one It's only about 6" square...kind of small for a 3 lbs bot, I think??? But it's all .1 Ti armor.....should hold up God, the little screws drive me nuts !!!! and there's over 80 of them in this bot About the same size as Dan's 1 lb'er lol

| Truly beautiful. I have been repeatedly impressed at the quality of design and execution in all the 'bots I've seen from you and the team you manage.
Your comment about the 80 screws reminds me--how do you thread all the holes? At Ransom, it's by hand and thus a real PITA. I would imagine that, if one of us had tried to tap that many small holes (#4-40, I'm guessing), we would have broken off at least a half-dozen taps and ruined several parts in the process.

| ESPECIALLY IN TITANIUM!! I know I had an ATTF (average time til tap failure) of like 3 holes for tapping my drum... granted it had some hard spots from weld, but still....
then i switched tap handles and have tapped 20-something holes without breakage lol
