Rumble at the rock was held today, does any have any info on it?! the only thing that ive heard so far is Uknight took 3rd, my guessing is Executer and Exterminator took the top spots.

from what i was told by one of the kids from BCA, mini-knightrous was working right causei guess it was recently owned by Uknight so it didnt even place. Uknight beat executer but end up losing to exterminator after bloomsburg ripped off the front wedges and partially pulling off one of Uknights sides. They couldnt get Uknight back together and lost to a supposidly terrible wedge. The wedge went on tothe finals where it lost to exterminator. 1st- Exterminator 2nd- Terrible Wedge 3rd- Uknight

As a side note, "Terrible Wedge" sounds like a potentially awesome name for a robot that has absolutely no wedges whatsoever.

Jordan sent me the link to that as soon as he put that up. Awesome match i say! Uknight was winning by far till about a minute left. I actually think i wouldve gone with Uknight although it finished without a side hahaha

i agree good fight overall, and exterminator did dominate, sort of, in the end, but UKnight had aggression and strategy in my opinion. now the question is, who would win the Fight of Fluffy/Snuggles vs. Exterminator?

i think as long as your bot doesnt fall apart (ex. Uknight lol) you would beat exterminator

hahaha its honestly a really good feeling beating them! lol the whole time at nationals they just sat and ran there mouths about how they would destroy our bots and completly tear them apart. Coincidence has it hat a kid driving in only his second match owns them the entire match and rips off the bottom cover and they get stuck on there batteries lol

I sure as hell hope so! it's about time that they got TOTALLY destroyed, and not just the side coming off like what Mini Knightrous did last year! i'm talking about disemboweled robots! drums and discs missing significant segments or entire components of drums!! Front ends disintegrated! Back Ends ripped in half with the motors sheared off and the batteries bursting into flames!!!! GRRR!!!

Well, they do have the interesting habit of using lexan as armor on the top & bottom plates... I'd always wanted to make something that could take advantage of that. The thicknesses they use aren't that difficult to break through.

We use it to and have never really had a problem with it. Although we ripped the bottom plate off last weekend when we fought them. Ours is thicker then theres i believe and all our componets are secured in other ways then just the lexan holding them in. The closest we came was humdinger ripped threw the lexan and almost hit our batterys but he didnt get threw the sheating we put on the lexan

Yeah. I should dig up my old work on Crusher & Jack designs. A few years back I figured a crusher would have a field day with robots at the time, but I kept getting sidetracked. "Jacks" are essentially spike weapons split down the middle & are pulled open by your typical screw-turned car-jacks. They'd do horrible things to a chassis as they opened up - if I could only figure out how to get them into the chassis first!
