lol ... BIG
we don't know yet... we'll find out won't we! It won't be horrible because for comparison, the 120 chassis was going to cost 310 for all in the picture and this is a fraction of that. also, we're supplying the material so it won't be horrific. but it needs to be done by wednesday!!

All you whippersnappers. Back in my day if you wanted a chassis, you beat it out of diamond-plate aluminum by hand and machined it with a drill & a dremel! (for details, see below)

o wow thats not bad at all. I guess if you have everything in solidworks and give them the material its not much really for them haha. Our BIG sponsor jenison corp. donates the maching for our frames then were also sponsored by the University of Pittsburghs machine shop so they do stuff free for us to. I think also got a quote on our frame just to see and it was like $1500 or more

Besides our inner frame we pretty much do. We have a drill press, grinder and a hand lathe from 72'. We cut our outside armor with a jigsaw and take it to a belt sander in the woodshop to clean it up

lol, that was more pointed at Will. I've been using the "tony stark built this" as a bit of a running joke comparing our first 'hardware-store' bots with the beautifully-machined T-800s they're churning out now.

Will, have you thought of including the arrow motif into the disk when it gets made? It wouldn't be too hard to include.

for the record, this is DEFINITELY not going to Youth Fair.. it's just not ready, and the waterjet people want 600 bucks for 1 set of parts!! and I'm supplying the material!!!

I know. It's complete bullshit. And even after you get the parts...you dont have many days to put it together.
