| I think that a brace at the very back to protect the wheel and shaft might be a good idea. maybe move one of the other ones. I would make the front axle a dead shaft which could also double as a brace. Also, why so many crossmembers. You could probably do without one of them and make the other a tad beefier. What does the inside iof the drum look like? bearings, bushings?? what's the shaft size and how is it held in? | |

| actually, you have the right number of crossmembers, but you need to move things aropund to protect the back end of the bot | |

| Looks like you are weakening the side frame with the massive slots near the drum mount.
Also looks like it won't make weight

| I never really noticed that your frames were like that either ALEX...
Ooohhh by the way maybe it looks like a robot you guys copied from and not yours.....
There was a dominate drum bot out there before you guys .....that had the exact design as your first drum or did you forget about that.....
Steve has designed this Bot from no real copying but taking what works on some and what works on others.....
Something like what we had with our first bot frame..... and Plums armor ...... and RJ's high speed drum..... and a few other designs like Humdinger and Solaris....
There was no looking like this and copying that on this bot...
Just a combination of designs and changes to what we did with Bar Exam Last Year...
I think it will be a good build as well other the other 2 designs..

| I don't see any problem copying some of other people's designs and /or mistakes??
I think the bot might have a bit too much open air inside and possibleweight issues..
You guys need to be keeping track of weight as the design moves along.....AVOID the pain

| Alex,
I know...... I was just giving you a hard time back.....
RJ We had the same design last year and the weight was actually 13.7 pounds.....
Changing the weapon to S7 and putting titanium under the UHMW will change it a little also but it should be close.....
We need to finalize the weapon design and see where we are before worrying about the extra weight from the frame....
We know where we are adding the Titanium skirting and we know what we weighed last year with the same size frame so we just need to see where the weapon compares and change the widths accordignly...
My biggest concern is the sides of the front skirting...
And the back of the bot is designed so that if we get put up on a side bumper we can still move around and get off of it.... I know NERC and others have bigger arenas and this is not a problem but it is one of the biggest problems we have seen here in the past and a few good bots have lost because they could not move once they were leaning against the side bumpers

| being able to get off the bumpers was one of the nicest parts of aftershock and thats what gave stillnshock its only lose up here
wasnt the biggest fan of leaving the wheels out like that but has never been a problem like you would expect
