Update for Moto 2011

Well it has been a crazy month here and moto is only a week away so i guess I should put an update on here for where we are at:

After finding out the CNC machine is running parts at about 1 per every 10 hours we decided to cut some and manually do others..

Old Bots:
To the Roof is ready to plug the battery in as of today.

Bar Exam is also ready to plug the battery in as of Today.

Doomsday is almost ready to plug in it just needs a wheel guard installed.

Adjustments have been made to the front angles on TTR and BE to get more bite and hits..

Still need to put the armor on the sides (a days work)

Rocco is ready as the old frame if we can get a hold of an old 36 MM Banebot axle..
With using the new P60 gearboxes on Rocco we are waiting to get the frame done (have not started it yet0)
Hopefully we can get a hold of an old 36 MM Axle.

New Bots:

KV is officially done on the CNC as of right now.
Need to drill and tap holes to assemble and put the armor on.
Should be ready for Moto (assuming the kids stay to do the work)

Under U is going on the CNC Machine tonight.
It is a uniBody frame of UHMW so it should be a lot faster to cut.
Front Weapon carriage is aluminum so it might take a little longer.
We retrofitted the discs from Scurrie to run at Moto so i hope it will work out when final assembly is done next tuesday.

Vertical Horizons my sons bot was scrapped and shrunk down to an insect weight design for this summers contests as a spring build.

Armored Up will not be ready for moto as some R& D still needs done to encase the weapon motor inside the drum. Epic fail on the prototype made from wood. (not enough clearances)

So it looks like a definate 5 and a close 6 Robots will be competing at Moto...

Should have all 8 done and revamped by the end of the year..

THIS IS OUR LAST YEAR BUILDING NEW BOTS AT 12 AND 15 POUNDS..

GOING INSECT IN THE FUTURE BUT WILL STILL BE FIGHTING THE OLD BUILDS IN THE 12 & 15
