Getting very close I have spares of lots of parts, and don't have spares of some important parts, my extra gearbox an esc are scheduled to come at 10:30 am tommorow (gearbox will hopefully help our over current problem with the XL)
Ive been awake and working on the bit since 10am Wednesday morning basically. Decided I shouldn allow myself to use mills/lathes anymore The drums need a few odds and ends and will be done, the weapon motor mount holes need to be drilled and countersunk and post hole needs to be drilled for our wheel gaurds the it's just wiring electrons ( atleast I hope that's all I have left) Here's how it sits now basically
Has the potential to be a pretty BA wedge if the drum s don't get done lol

Not sure how to feel about robot shops customer service, with gratin anything from them, they overnighted the gearbox and esc yesterday and they did make it here this morning Have to drill some holes and the bot should be ready to finish the wiring

The first test will be the first fight..... I asked for an update picture and got an abstract photo of the weld. Cody seems to be working hard and maybe even alone. So I give him slack. But being a penn state alumni, all I can say is he better win! Lol

Cutting it super close Just leaving penn state now The last picture was all the progress I had
It's 15.0 even on our scale with everything but a riser and the screws to the top cover
I got the 26:1 and the problem is even worse

So another question the motor leads are about an inch to short, can I unsolder the bullets and make them a little longer or will it screw up the timing? Can I use 12g since I dont have 10?

as long as the wire extensions are all the same length it wont mess with anything. and yes i would unsolder the bullets and try to make a wide solder bead like 6mm or so for good contact, so far as wire goes 12 is fine if you make good solder joints and use a dab of flux on the bullets

After our second match I finally figured out that my electronic problem was caused by a battery pack and not the esc In our third match I found out the scorpion XL has a voltage cutoff around 15 volts, which is great if you have lipos but kills you drive with 22 seconds left in a 3 minute match unfortunately We only had one wheel in that match too since one wheel was cracked in our first match and came loose from the bushing Overall I had a great time, I have ideas of what I want to change on this bot and What I want to use on our next!

Noooo that's post bot Here's after
Rugburn took off both wheel gaurds which was expected as they weren't supported well cause I didn't have weight or time and one of the front wedges It did have both wheels still lol we took it off because it spun on the bushing and we were goin to try more rumbles

Since I spent so much time on it only to have electronic problems I guess I'll throw up some pictures I took while building it
What the drums started as
Pile O'Parts
Wheel bushings
Turning the drums down
One of the fun attachments I got to use

Big box of parts thanks to Alex
Piece of garbage charger, I recommend staying away from them
The devil pack
Another fun attachment
I cant take credit for this one, I had a similar idea but the kid who welded our Ti (thanks Penn State Racing BTW) CNC'd the motor mount for us
I have a ton of pictures but they get repetive, I think I covered basically all the parts
