for starters, you don't have as many drive motors. also, you don't have doubled-up wheels.
and just to make you happy, do remember that we actually built the 1st Generation Prototype of the 120 as a 15, which has turned into your robot. so technically, the 120 is a 8X replica of yours! TADA!!

Razz

WHERE IS THE PROTOTYPE THEN!?! I never got anything...or any ideas (other than the secret weapon) from the 120 team...why can't anyone tell me this stuff?? it wld have taken me a lot of less time and effort if i had the dimensions all done for me...but no one told me you built a prototype...

It's in one of the boxes under the tables. Check the ones around X-Contamination's box, but closer to the doors.

i heard something about them REALLY wanting to push this minnesota competition, to the point where they would cover travel expenses for teams to go. in that case, if we had our travel expenses covered, I could probably go... otherwise it's just too much...

I've been the one pretty much pushing the tournament, but i havent heard anything about travel expenses being covered. I just went on there website and the 100 dollar entrance fee is only going to be refunded to members of the MRL or the NTMA

yeah, i have a close relationship with the ntma - i've spoken at a conference, and demonstrated copperhead for them, so I think that's where OUR offer (if it was even an offer) came from... i kinda heard it through the grapevine though.

for those competeing in the high school 120 class

And for those competeing in the college 15lb class, with three shell spinners and a wedge i would really look out for that wedge, Im pretty sure he competes in the hobbyweight class under the name apollyon and he can drive, most of you probably know surgical strike as one of the top in hobbyweights

Well, seeing as they're surrounded with bright red lines, I would hope you'd be able to avoid them.

Hey, anyone going to San Fran with some kind of smartphone want to set up a twitter feed for the competition? That's probably the easiest way to get updates on match results/what the hell is going on for those not in attendance.

I have a smartphone and EVERYONE has an Iphone, but it's twitter. I don't want to twitter the defeat of other robots while the Dallas teams own the competition. I want to shout it to the world with a megaphone and a blimp.

Megaphone and a blimp, you say? I'd burn it into the surface of the moon with a giant death-laser. From a blimp. While simultaneously using two megaphones.

A death laser and TWO megaphones uh?

Well I would hijack every source of media in the world, including gov communication, light flares in the sky and have a sky writer to display the results. I would also use my telekinesis to rearrange the stars spelling out our victory.

Beat that.

Matt comes on here with his Iphone if he wouldnt mind posting results
Dan you could make a secret section (ie for the guys) just for me to let me know whats going on, that way no one ever has to know!!

I think the camera/video thing is just for the Battlebots events i think itll be ok for 15lb classes, but then again who knows anymore

PS: idk how to work twitter. I went on it today for the first time to look at the battlebots page and couldnt figure it out. Idk if its the format they used or what but i was expecting full page blogs and it only seemed like facebook statuses lol. Plus it was really really slow and i got annoyed haha

Easy. Destroy this universe with the LHC, and make a new one incapable of permitting our defeat in any way possible, while simultaneously proclaiming victory in the nature of the unified laws of physics in that reality.
