At both 15lb nationals 1st and 3rd were takin by bots from PA, NERC is one of the premeire bot leagues. Competitions such as Motorama and Franklin institute are in PA plus the is Bot Blast.
Between here (Pittsburgh) and Philly, theres suprisingly alot to do around here.
Plus in the winter i get to snowboard everyday Razz

thanks for joining! Things are kinda quiet cause it's still summer and no one's really doing much (except rjw lol) but once school picks up again, things should pick back up on here. Good luck with the Blender, it's an awesome bot!

Welcome, Omar! I am the 'coach' for the team that built SpiderPig, and I am looking forward to a rematch (well, between our two rebuilds, I mean) at Nationals in '10.

I still wonder if SP might have won our one match against Blender if my students had listened to me about BaneBots wheels being inferior to Colsons. But they didn't and Blender caused us to shred 16 wheels in 2 minutes! (to the point that we could barely move by the end of the match)

Since we didn't stay in CA until the very end to offer it, I'd like to take this opportunity to offer congrats on the championship--Blender is truly a great bot and your team seemed like a really nice, bright, and interesting bunch of folks.

I notice you say you have already been working on it, and that

which makes me wonder--what competition are you prepping for? I think our 120 will only be in one competition all year because BBIQ is all I really know about!

If they ever find out that this even exists, they will monitor it for information on everyone, and either sign up just to see everything, or not sign up at all and stalk the pages. But that's only a theory! Laughing

panther66, actually. And yes, I know that many of those members have since left MI Robotics. Still, it'd be a little funny if executer showed up with a single-tooth-effect or asymmetric drum without them posting anything.

Hey ppl, its Adam in Miami. (built Coincidence and competed two years ago). I go to FIU studying MechE. Just randomly found this forum. Wanted to say that I'm looking for either a serious 120lb local HS team to tech advise or some random cool and dedicated ppl to pull together a HW with.
