Josh is a member of NTHS and is very active in BotsIQ. He has served as main designer of the BotsIQ last year and one of the main designers this year. A member of the National Technical Honor Society, he has maintained “A” averages at EWCTC and is a High Honor Roll student at Derry. In his spare time, he volunteered at the voting center for the elections. Upon graduation Josh plans to study physics at either Cal U or Penn State

I was told to introduce myself so here we go!

My name is Rick Frisco

I am a teacher at West Mifflin Area High School in Pennsylvania.
I mainly teach Video Production but have a Robotics class also.
I am a business owner of a video and photo production studio in Brownsville PA.

I have a Associates Degree in Robotics from California University of Pennsylvania.
A Bachelors Degree in Technology Education from California University of Pennsylvania.
A Masters Degree in Technology Education from California University of Pennsylvania.
12 Credits and Thesis short of a Doctorate in Education from West Virginia University.

I coach Varsity Football, Indoor/Outdoor Track and my sons Basketball and baseball teams.
I have 4 Clubs in school; Robotics, Outdoors, Video and Tech Ed Clubs.

My background in Video is elaborate from ESPN to NASCAR to CBS SPORTS to X Games etc...

My robotics class was started 3 years ago and has grown tremendously since.
We have been competing in Western PA Bots IQ 15 lb class for 3 years and have been competing in the 12 lb classes with NERC for 2 years.
We built 1 robot 2 years ago (drum 4WD)
We built 3 robots last year (drum 2WD)(drum 4WD)(Undercutter)
This year we are building 5 robots (drum 4WD)(Beater 4WD)(Undercutter)(?) (?)

I am hoping that robotics starts to grow a little as my son has taken great interest in the sport of battling and bot hockey.

This is Alain Hernandez from Miami Lake Education Center. Like many of you, I've loved battlebots since I was a boy watching the battles on TV. Designing, Building, and Fighting these Robots has been a dream come true, something I've always wanted to do and now actually am doing, and so, I'm hooked. I haven't heard about the forums since recently, so here I am, to mingle among the pro's and squander the one's unfortunate enough to meet the demolishing edge of my drum (with love, of course)! Proudly, I'm Rattler's driver and have placed 3rd and 2nd with it.

Currently, for this year, 2009, I am Team Jag's President and I will graduate as the class of 2012 (luck year, 'eh?).

I'm sure I've seen many of you at some of the local events, so this shall be my chance to actually talk and communicate with you guys.
