Hello all,

Alex Grant here, A.G. Robotics from Florida State. I had a 15lb bot, Animosity at IQ in April of 2010. Had a pretty good time, and a decent showing of 3-2 with 2 KO's. Hope to be at the Feb 2011 event.

Senai, haha. First off, Nola lives in Miami, hence all the Miami kids.
Second, I think there are many more members (yay alliteration!) from PA and surrounding area than from FL.

You can't dis Texas, it's the best state ever. We just need more battlebot teams/competitions and it'd be perfect...oh and firearms for everyone. That's a must.

Hey guys, just found this site and I am really impressed. My name is Jerry Clarkin, I am the builder of the heavy weight SubZero (it used to be a middle weight). I have been in the sport since 2000. I was on the television show Battlbots seasons 3.4.and 5 with my superheavy weight Hammertime. I absolutely love this sport and have made friends all over the country. Since this is my first time here I have not had much time to look around and read the forum. Hopefully in the next few days I will get a chance to cruise the site in greater depth.

A couple suggestions when fighting robots; one - never show up to a competition with an incomplete bot and two - after every match get right back to your pit and repair your bot quickly and as thorough as possible, get it ready for your next match before socializing.

Hey everyone, my name is Ryan McKinney. I'll be a Junior at Pine View School in Sarasota, FL next year. I only recently got into battle bots so I haven't completed anything yet, but I'm in the process of building two antweights. One of them is a vertical spinner and the other technically isn't mine, but it will be a wedge bot.
