Felt this forum could use one of these...

I will start this off with stuff fresh out of GDC for a game none of you have ever heard of, but probably should, Project Offset(PC Only Game):

Intel owns Offset Software and these tech demos are running on Intel's new GPU, Larrabee. Extremely impressive stuff to say the least.

Those looked and sounded amazing on my laptop. I heart crystalbrite screens with dolby surround sound and sub lol

My laptop can run Crysis on medium settings. It's a year and a half old . It sounds like a jet engine when it does it though...

It is OK if your brain is currently on the ground in the form of a pile of gooey mush. That is a normal reaction.


Just imagine, because Project Offset looks to be even more beastly than Crysis is...

i need that game. but believe it or not, i dont think Crysis was beastly as it had terrible gameplay. The graphics are crazy amazing tho.

Crysis had great gameplay. Don't get into this argument with me either...
Because I will give you a freaking insane rundown of why it was amazing, delving into level design, pacing, encounter spacing, art design, and gunplay.... That is an argument you will lose.

You may not like Crysis for whatever reason, but trust me, the gameplay is NOT terrible.

I think you'll agree with me when I say that the dialogue was horrible in Crysis. Also, Crysis Warhead made some substantial improvements to just about anything that was wrong with the first game.

Aha! I just realized why all these pictures look weird to me: the anti-aliasing is turned up to its highest setting (no "jagged" lines).

And as far as Project Offset goes, I sure hope its engine is a bit less demanding to run than the Cryengine...

Story was pretty meh, but the gameplay was extremely well executed.
