Good stuff Bob

Dan...I wthink you should add a tech section to the forum...I have plenty to add to Bob's post and it could be a good thing to have the technical mumbo jumbo all in one place

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

A battlebot isn't a battlebot, until it has in some way either injured or almost injured its creator. Let us welcome Conundrum with open arms. YEA CONUNDRUM! bounce

As far as your radio issues go, I think I might have had the same problem with Tornado Mini. My radio was also cutting out for no reason and eventually (at the competition) the light got really bright and then wouldn't connect at all. ( I hate electrical issues right before a match)

A couple things to try:

Check if your controller was recalled. I know you're using a Dx5, and it was the 6 model that had the recall, but that might be something to look into. I actually sent mine in and got their seal of approval, just a couple days before competition.

Second, my receiver was doing the same thing and eventually just died. Even though my trims were set and everything was bound properly, I still had motor creeps, despite the reprogramming of the esc's. I'm sure you've done this already, but try using a different receiver. Why are you using an AR model receiver anyway?

Btw: What the hell kind of a dumb @$$ are you that you would let that kind of a freak accident happen!?
WHAT THE HELL DAN! Seriously.

hahahaha wellll i was excited. lol
i'm using an AR because it's 3.5 g lighter than the br and much more compact. AKA it fit.
I'm waiting for hot glue before I do any more testing so i can't tell you what worked/didn't yet...

And make sure to take it out to potty at least twice a day. And feed it food. And show it some TLC.
